I am pleased that...
The weather forecasters totally botched it on Monday. The humidity was ghastly, but it was cloudy most of the day, and didn't quite make 80. Made for a much more bearable walk home!
I got to talk to the caretaker last night; the work he's going to do to try to ward future flooding is all outside--so I was able to start moving stuff back into my room at last! After five days, I can use my computer again! =D (The whole rest of this week will probably be catch-up and clean-up, but at least I have the option of doing creative/computer stuff now.)
And I'm only 228th in line at the library for the 7th Harry Potter book--already down over 100 places from where I was a week ago!
Ack, your place flooded? :X That happened to my grandparents' flat once - the smell was hideous! You poor thing. Hope everything's drying out and coming good (though if it's humid heat that won't be helping much, will it? argh).
Potter *twitch* Afraid I'm with Beth, there - 5 & 6 left me so cold I'm in no hurry to rush to 7. One day, maybe. (Or maybe if I get really desperate for something to read in English!)
Here's to quick-drying apartments and fast-moving library queues ;)
The smell was hideous last Thursday and Friday. Thank God the weather was cool and not humid until Sunday noon, and by then all the drying was complete. =)
*shakes head* I can't comprehend leaving a fun story unfinished. (Well, unending stories like Jordan and Goodkind are a different matter ;)
It's dry! I just have oodles of catch-up with money stuff, downloading stuff, and putting stuff back while trying to do some sorting and purging.
