The clouds were beautifully underlit in the east when I looked out of the window this morning. It was a treat, not only because I haven't seen a sunrise in a while, but because it's a reminder that the days are growing shorter. Yay! I expect I'll be seeing plenty of sunrises from now to the year's end.
Today was the long anticipated/mildly dreaded day in which Microsoft Office 2007 (Word, Excel and Powerpoint, but not Access) was installed on the work computers. We'd done testing and taken classes in advance, as Office 2007 is quite different from earlier versions. But today turned out not bad at all. Not only can I 'pin' files in the recently opened files lists, so the ones I access frequently don't get swept away under a horde of day-to-day stuff...but I can do better than that! In Excel, I was able to make a shortcut for 'Paste Values' whereas in the past I could only make a part-way shortcut (Paste Special) and still had to select 'Paste Values' from a menu. Over and over and over and over again; boy did my hands get sore at times. So yes, I am liking the transition so far (helps that keyboard shortcuts haven't changed).
Last but not least, I finally finished my autumn avatar! Sure feels good to finally have something off my Vue/Poser to do list for the first time in a long time. The animating is always frustrating, because I have to cramp everything into 100 x 100 pixels and under 40K in size, while the big, lavish wallpaper version is just so much more detailed and colorful. But it feels quite good to be done. Next will be finishing my book 1 avatar, seeing as I started on it last October and it would be nice to have it done before a year has passed! =P Being so far behind as I am, can't count on getting my winter avatar (Hileko for that one) done anytime before the END of this winter.
