It rained a good part of the day, and I was a bit of a stressed-out wreck by 3:30. But when I got home after 4:30, I discovered no flooding--the rain had been slow and light enough. Thank God!
I finished my Poser Star figure (Geren's dog) that I'd worked on Wednesday after having it collect dust for about a year. And he doesn't look like shiny plastic in Vue anymore--I've learned a lot in a year!
Despite having three people off in my area (and only three present, including me) the day went far, far better than I'd anticipated. Whew!
Shelley was so sweet as to buy me a piece of pizza for lunch, after changing her original plans and bringing a breakfast bake to work instead. Once she found out I detest eggs, she was determined I wouldn't be left out. What a sweetie!
Uploaded a remake of my Geren autumn wallpaper to my Vue gallery on their website--which means it has now doubled in size, heh. Moving in the right direction!
Then, after that, I found a way around my defeat of Friday night. (I'd gotten Star in the Geren autumn scene, worked out nearly everything, then the program crashed and the file went corrupt and I had to give up and go to bed.) But later this morning I tried the trick of using the auto-generated back-up file as if it were the normal file--and it worked! My third version of the Geren autumn wallpaper has Star in it!
And a significant date for this journal today. August 25 marks the one-year anniversary of my starting this, and here is my 200th entry. I'm so glad I made this place!
Congratulations! That's a wonderful milestone. And it's been a pleasure to be along for the journey.
I'm very pleased to hear that the rain is holding off. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it stays that way.
It sounds like you're progressing pretty well on the art side of things too.
Thanks! I'm pleased with it. It was fun rereading all the old entries recently.
Looks like we get a reprieve for a few days, for which I'm grateful, especially for the sake of all the people down south that got their homes flooded or destroyed.
I'm at least managing to look productive despite the fact that the stuff at the top of my art list either requires spending or is very difficult!
