Today, I'm blessed that:
I spotted a Mockingbird singing on the power line by my parents' backyard Sunday, and he was back Monday and I got to show them. They're the most renowned singer among birds in America, and as Minnesota is too cold for them, it was a real treat.
I spotted one more yellow-billed magpie perched on the curb as my dad drove me to the airport this morning--like a going-away present from Sacramento.
The flights and layover were pretty uneventful. Lots of reading done!
My mom was so kind as to make some pumpkin bread and homemade apple sauce for me to take home. Yum, yum, YUM!
This round certainly made up for all the trouble I had getting over and back home during my Christmas visit. =P I think I like Frontier, but flying through Denver in the winter isn't the best thing to do.
And watching evening/twilight fall while descending toward the Minnesota airport was just gorgeous, especially with the moon out too!
