Couple recent bright spots:
My coworker Dawn brought in a bunch of original-style metal Slinkies for a bunch of us on Tuesday. Later that day, her, Nancy, and myself went to the fire escape stairs to see if we could get them to go down the stairs (alas, the steps were too broad). If there were security cameras in there, the guards must have had a blast watching three grown women playing with Slinkies. What fun!
Watched the very last episode of the first season of 'Heroes' Wednesday night. What fun again! Endings that leave me tear-stained and happy are the very best. I love Netflix! I certainly can't go around buying tv series on the off chance I might like them, so it's a perfect way to check things out.
Just finished another illustration for my avarii essay. Four more to go!
They are. =) My favorite bit as a child was holding one end to my ear and letting the other bounce against the floor so I could listen to WWII aerial battles (that's what my imagination visualized, anyway).
Whenever I get my Triune page opened for members...getting pretty close now...
(I did get your e-mail, thanks! You didn't specifically ask for more chapters, and I wasn't sure if you had the time for them...and I've been bad with home e-mails of late since I've been so focused on essay-writing and other writing...but it's on my list now, so you will get some! =)
That's so funny about the slinkies--I was just at a store an hour or two ago shopping for a lamp, and in one of the aisles I saw a display of metal slinkies ^_^ I pondered them a moment before moving on.
I keep hearing good things about Heroes but I never seem to be awake/around when it's on. No doubt I'll catch reruns of it eventually or rent the series from Blockbuster or, maybe, Netflix. (I've been prodded to try Netflix, and now that they've sent me a free trial, I might just do it... [wonders if they'll ship to a p.o. box]
We're still planning to set up a slinky jungle gym at work someday...
I want to watch a couple movies on my list before I try another tv series. Though I do want to watch Star Wars: Clone Wars (animated episodes that fit between movies 1 and 2) which isn't really a movie.
But I forgot to mail back the dvd right away, so I won't get my next pick until next week (they're not open on weekends even when my mail gets there Saturday). So maybe tonight I'll watch 'Magnificent Seven' that you loaned me--IF I'm a good girl and finish writing Hened's story.
