I had a blast walking home from the bus stop today. It had snowed roughly half an inch during the day, and the temperature was around 9 F/-12 C. Which meant it was cold for fresh snowfall--and that meant the snow was super noisy. I felt like I had either cheap plastic horns strapped to the bottom of my boots, or a seal barking with every step I took! Far too much fun twisting my feet and tromping along having a ball seeing how many different noises I could make. Ah, how I love winter!
Passed the 10,000 word mark with 'Nothing Gold,' hurrah!
And only one illustration left for my hyarmi essay, yippee!
I don't think I'll be enjoying the cold today up on the capital hill--should be all of 6 degrees there at noon, so I'm going to REALLY bundle up!
Thanks! It feels good.
I need to screw up the courage to tackle that last one...
That wasn't bad at all because there was no wind. Wind makes all the difference in the world when it comes to cold temperatures, believe me! As it was, my first winter walking to the bus stop, I did get drained by and sick of all those 0 degree walks--the biggest part is learning how best to bundle up, as well as getting used to it.
It will be very nice to have it done, since it's been on my list for a while.
*chuckles* We haven't even had a whiff of snow here yet. It's all harsh winds and rain, rain, rain and more rain. I pity the people who were flooded out this summer, 'cause it looks like it's about to happen again. The joys of climate change, I guess.
Glad you're enjoying your snow ^_^
Yay for passing 10,000! And huzzah for hyarmi illustrations, can't wait to see them!
