One nice side-effect of bitterly cold nights--it was clear out yesterday morning, which gave me a chance to preview the upcoming conjunction of Jupiter and Venus. What's even more cool, is that the waning moon will join them Feb 4.

Passed the 15,000 word mark with 'Nothing Gold' last evening, and...

t'DoL really doesn't like poop being thrown at him. Heh heh--I've been waiting for some weeks to see if that would actually end up in the novella!

Thanks for the astronomical heads up, although I'm a bit late and will have to find a southern hemisphere translation.

Congrats on Nothing Gold. How much more do you still have left to write?

Since it's a conjunction of planets and not an eclipse or asteroid shower, all that matters is that you look for them along the eastern horizon before sunrise (which might be unpleasantly early for you!) The moon bit should also 'transfer'--though I don't know whether the morning of Feb 4 or 5th would give the better conjunction on your side of the world. I'm not expecting to see any more myself, since clear mornings are rare this winter. Wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised, though! =)

I'm hoping to finish the third section fairly soon. There are four total, though the last one might end up a little longer. Thanks!
