There was such a fantastic turnout for the funeral yesterday. Between coworkers that went for the visitation beforehand, the service itself, or both, it added up to nine in total (excluding my boss, who is currently in Mexico). I'm so pleased and proud at the turnout (helps it was in walking distance from work) and what a gift that must be to poor Dawn.
I cans has fun with the calendar: yesterday was pi day, and today--the Ides of March!
Lovely feedback from Shanra on book 1: particularly in getting her perspective on the first two chapters, which I've changed/tweaked the most. =)
I got the last of the wet carpet and padding torn up yesterday evening. Now I can start playing 'musical' chairs with my stuff and tearing up the less flood-prone regions. Today's objective: move the dresser *gulps* to get at the carpet under it and get my art table over so I can actually access my fish tank in order to clean it.
My health this week was fantastic. Changing my lunches seems to have made the difference--only a few minor sharp bouts of IBS, and a very low-level pain that was easy to ignore. Much, much better than what I was bracing for and went through in the past!
