I took today off work, my first such 'me day' this year. It was wonderful--the whole three-day weekend was wonderful in the amount of book 4 writing I got done.

I has a new 'love' in me life:

An itty-bitty pump!

This little guy will be perfect for bailing out my closet because the water's too shallow for bigger pumps. I'm almost looking forward to a little flooding so I cans try him out (almost, mind you!). And no, t'DoL's not jealous, he just wants to take it apart! ;D

Fantabulous progress on book 4, chapter 21 today. Fantabulous!

Wonderful news! Both on the writing and on the pump. The pump sounds like it will be a good investment.

Good to hear that you are looking after yourself and taking some fun time out.

The pump just might trigger Murphy's Law and I won't have to use it for a long time! ;) That would be just fine by me.

It was a lovely weekend!

Good to hear you got something to help with your flooding problem.
Have you test it out?

Great progress on book 4. Maybe you should take off another day to write.

I tried it out in my sink, and it pumped water into my old ice-cream pail I use for bailing just fine.

I want to keep tight rein on the vacation days, since I don't know summer and Christmas plans yet. So the 3-day weekend for Memorial Day will probably be my next 'break.'

*chuckles* It really is the little things in life that feel the best, isn't it?

Great to hear about book 4 progress, and that you've had time for you. Both very important.

It was nice to sleep in...on the days I didn't brainlessly turn the alarm on for 5:40, anyway. =P

Going to enjoy a 4-day workweek, too!
