Today I'm glad for...

My aunt calling Sunday evening, to find out how I'd fared with the storms lately (they all missed me over the weekend!). That was sweet of her.

I'm grateful for my job, which is a wonderful blessing--especially when things crop up unexpectedly that require trying to think out all the ramifications on the fly. It's exhilarating, and feels akin to book plotting.

I'm very grateful for my library system, and the number of books on my list I've been able to request to be brought to the local library one mile from my home.

Also pleased with Monday night's sleep, which was the best I've had in a long time.

Where I'm At:
book 3: ch 10/pg 76
Emotional Status:
worried preparing for storms/flooding

Is there anything quite as wonderful (or quite as frustrating) as plotting books? It sounds like you enjoy your work and any coworkers that participate in slinky races are pretty good in my opinion.

I'm very glad to hear that the storms have been treating you well. The weather out your way sounds like it has been absolutely crazy! serephent was complaining of snow in June.

And sleep is definitely good.

Wonderful and frustrating is definitely right! I'm so glad that book 5 is (comparatively) plotless compared to book 4, which will be the death of me sooner or later. =P

Ah, we had to take our slinky racecourse down a couple weeks ago, as it was getting decrepit. People have been pretty sedate of late.

It certainly has been awful for some people! I feel bad for eastern Wisconsin (where I went on PPP1) because of this flooding on top of the incredible rainfalls of August 2007. I was wincing all weekend everytime I checked the radar and it showed they were taking a beating. =(

Snow in June?! Incredible--where do I move? ;)

It is indeed. I hope you manage a little more in the second half of your week!

She's in Spokane, apparently, and it sounds like she'd be quite willing to post the snow off to you if she could.

And I'd love to receive it! =) It was great seeing fresh-fallen snow all over on the Glacier National Park webcams this morning.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE EXPECTING MORE STORMS. I HOPE THEY PASS YOU BY.
GLAD TO HEAR YOUR AUNT IS CHECKING UP ON YOU.

GOOD NIGHT SLEEPS THAT IS GREAT. HOPE THE TREND CONTINUE.

Me too! We're under a flash flood watch, so I hope I don't get much while I'm at work. At least the bulk of the rainfall is supposed to be this evening and night.

That would be nice! Last night was a little warmer (and the humidity shot up) so it wasn't quite as good. I need to quit procrastinating and move to sleeping on the floor this coming weekend.
